📩 Module 4: Set Up Your Email List

Now that your freebie and opt-in page are ready, it’s time to set up your email list. This is how you'll collect subscribers and start building a real audience — one that you can contact anytime!

✅ 1. Choose Your Email Service Provider

You need an email marketing tool to collect and manage your subscribers. Here are a few great beginner-friendly (and free) options:

📌 TASK: Pick your email platform and create your first list (or campaign).

✅ 2. Add a Tag or List for New Subscribers

This is how you’ll organize people who sign up through your free offer. Tags or lists keep your subscribers grouped based on what they signed up for.

• ✔️ In LeadsLeap: Use the "List Manager" to create a new list
• ✔️ In Systeme or AWeber: Create a new list or tag with a clear name like “Freebie Subscribers”

📌 TASK: Name your list/tag and connect it to your opt-in form.

✅ 3. Write a Welcome Email

This email is automatically sent to your subscriber right after they join. Keep it short, friendly, and make sure it includes the link to your free download.

✅ 4. Test Your Entire Signup Flow

Before sharing your opt-in page with the world, make sure everything works properly:

• 🔄 Sign up using your own email
• 📥 Check that you’re added to the right list/tag
• 📧 Confirm the welcome email lands in your inbox (and not in spam!)
• 📎 Test the download link

✅ 5. Save Time with a Template or Automation

Once your welcome email works, you can build a basic follow-up series. Don’t worry — you’ll learn more about that in future modules. For now, just make sure your platform saves this flow as a reusable automation or funnel.
